SYLVESTER
Sylvester James (September 6, 1947 – December 16, 1988) was an American disco and soul musician, and a gay drag performer. Performing under his first name only, he is considered one of the first Hi-NRG artists and the first "male diva" of disco. Sadly, Sylvester passed away in 1988 from complications due to AIDS.
